Andrew graduated from Harper Adams University in 1995 with an Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. On graduating, Andrew joined a rural practice firm of Chartered Surveyors in Cambridgeshire where he specialised in rural property matters. After qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1997 he become a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. In 2000 Andrew became an Associate in the business, before returning to the Midlands where he joined a national firm of Chartered Surveyors as an Associate specialising in commercial property matters. Andrew is a RICS registered valuer and, together with his co-director Trevor, Andrew set up Wells McFarlane in February 2004.

Andrew’s expertise is extensive and encompasses office and industrial markets, commercial property management and investment, rural estate management, planning and development. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys travel, fine dining and life at home on his farm.

Trevor graduated from Harper Adams University in 1995 with an Honours Degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management and then joined the Valuation Office for 12 months as a Capital Gains and Inheritance Tax Valuer. Trevor then joined a Leicester firm of Chartered Surveyors and undertook a broad spectrum of work prior to qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1997. He became a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 1999 and received the Midland Counties prize for the highest examination results. Trevor then joined a national firm of Chartered Surveyors in Leicestershire as an Associate and pursued a specialism in planning and development related issues and the sale and acquisition of development land. With his co-director Andrew, Trevor set up Wells McFarlane in February 2004. In February 2009, Trevor was elected as President of The Midland Counties Agricultural Valuers Association. Trevor is a RICS Registered Valuer.

Trevor is one of the Midlands’ most sought-after advisors, acting on land deals for residential and commercial developments, estate management and agricultural interests. His decade-long work on Broadnook Garden Village was recognised as the 2022 Deal of the Year in the East Midlands Bricks Awards.

When not at work, Trevor enjoys time with his family at home on his farm as well as partaking in country sports, squash and boxing. Trevor is a keen skier and follower of motorsports.

Jason graduated from De Montfort University in 2000 with an Honours Degree in Land Management. On graduating Jason joined Bidwells Property consultants in Northampton before moving back to Leicestershire and most recently specialising in commercial property matters working for a national firm of Chartered Surveyors.

Jason has been actively involved within the property industry for over 20 years, gaining significant experience in both commercial and residential markets including; agency, valuation, telecoms, compulsory purchase and compensation within the East Midlands region.

Outside of work, Jason is a keen golfer and represents the club 1st Team in the Leicestershire Scratch League. When not working out at his local gym in Market Harborough, Jason enjoys cooking and, together with his wife, hosts an annual Come Dine With Me evening for friendly competition among their social group!

Abi re-joined the Wells McFarlane team in 2020 as Head of Company Accounts following the completion of her ACCA qualification to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant. Abi is responsible for the company’s entire accounts function, including managing company, client and tenant accounts; invoicing; forecasting; budgeting and finalising year end accounts. Client account management is shared with Head of Client Accounts, Lee Whitehill. Away from work, Abi has three young children and enjoys spending time on family activities and holidays.

Lee joined as Wells McFarlane’s Head of Client Accounts in March 2022 with responsibility for the client accounts function including managing client and tenant accounts; invoicing; forecasting and budgeting; and system management and improvement. Lee has 25 years’ accounting experience in legal, property and farming sectors and is a VAT specialist. Outside of work, Lee plays darts in two local leagues and is the Market Harborough League Secretary. He also enjoys running and has completed several half marathons.

Beata (Bea) became part of the Wells McFarlane team in November 2021, when she was appointed as the firm’s new Management Accountant. Bea supports Head of Company Accounts, Abi Wood and Head of Client Accounts, Lee Whitehill managing the portfolio of landlord and tenant accounts and also oversees the accounts payable/receivable function for clients. Bea is studying to complete her Accounting (AAT) qualifications.

When not at work, Bea can be found hiking or open water swimming, and has completed several endurance challenges including the Bear Grylls 10K survival race, Trailwalker UK and is now in training for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks!

Tina has been with Wells McFarlane since June 2017 having spent seven years at the Head Office of travel company, TUI-UK, assisting in the management of all the firm’s UK retail shops. Working alongside our Director, Jason Hercock, Tina undertakes property and site inspections, lease renewals, marketing and general property management. When not at work, Tina can be found at the yard with her Exmoor & Welsh Ponies, walking the dog or going on family adventures with her daughter and husband.

Pru joined the Wells McFarlane team in July 2023 as Residential and Commercial Asset Manager. With over a decade of experience in residential lettings, Pru is taking the next steps in his property career by expanding his skillset to include commercial property management. Working alongside our Director, Andrew McFarlane Holt, Pru will undertake property and site inspections; tenant, landlord, contractor and other stakeholder liaison; lease renewals; marketing and general property management. Outside of work, Pru is a qualified personal trainer, plays football for GNG FC Leicester and enjoys socialising with his wife, family and friends.

One of the newest recruits, Pip Johnstone joined Wells McFarlane in September 2023 following almost a decade as a senior contracts manager for a recruitment firm. Pip’s skills managing the team and negotiating contracts with FTSE100 and international companies are entirely transferable, and at Wells McFarlane she is supporting Andrew McFarlane Holt and Pru Singh with new leases, lease renewals, marketing and administrative duties.

Away from the office, Pip enjoys travelling, skiing, photography and long walks with her husband and two young children.

Tom, a graduate of the Royal Agricultural University, joined the team in December 2022 to support its well-established land agency, planning and development divisions. Working alongside Trevor Wells, Tom’s role includes valuations, marketing and strategic planning advice. Tom is currently studying towards his RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) qualification and CAAV (Central Association of Agricultural Valuers) exams. In his free time, Tom enjoys clay and game shooting, or trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Jenny joined Wells McFarlane in January 2018 as Personal Assistant to the Directors working alongside Andrew McFarlane Holt and Trevor Wells. After finishing her education, Jenny worked for Barclays Bank Plc but took a career break to raise her two sons. Jenny is highly organised and has over 20 years’ experience working as a Personal Assistant for an Insolvency company and latterly for a Tax Consultancy. Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, baking, visiting new places and walking.

Lesley McQuade joined Wells McFarlane in August 2023 as PA to Jason Hercock. Lesley has over 30 years’ PA experience gained in accountancy, architectural and critical infrastructure firms. An excellent multi-tasker, Lesley has strong communication and organisational skills and will assist Jason by co-ordinating all appointments, preparing valuation reports, uploading property enquiries, producing marketing material and managing client correspondence.

Originally from Rugby, Lesley still lives in the town with her family and in her spare time enjoys cooking, knitting, cross-stitch, travelling and walking along the Oxford Canal and Hillmorton Locks nearby her home.

Natalie is a qualified PR practitioner with 18 years' specialist experience in property, development and construction. Natalie joined the Wells McFarlane team in September 2020 to raise the profile of the firm across the East and West Midlands through targeted PR, awards, social media and website content. Natalie works alongside the firm’s Directors to share deals and industry news, company achievements and charity support. Outside of work, Natalie is a sports fan, especially American football, basketball and rugby union. Natalie’s other interests include theatre, reading, cooking and travelling.
