BARBERS’ WHOLESALER LEAVES LONDON FOR MARKET HARBOROUGH

25 March 2024

An independent, family run wholesaler that supplies barber shops and start-ups across the UK has relocated from London to new premises in Market Harborough.

In a deal negotiated by our Director, Jason Hercock, Barbers Wholesale has taken Unit 1 at The Point Business Park, on the town’s eastern edge. The 4,000 sq ft, two-storey office will enable Barbers Wholesale to relocate from its previous base in Central London.

The firm’s Business Operations Manager, Mr Reis explains: “Our business has been operating successfully from London for the past 15 years but as our client base was growing as far afield as Birmingham, Leeds and Scotland, our location wasn’t stacking up. In addition, we also had staff undertaking long commutes from Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire that wasn’t sustainable long term.

“The Midlands quickly became our preferred location. It was more central for staff and clients, but also has several airports for when we exhibit internationally or have visitors from overseas. Market Harborough is well-connected too; we can still get to London quickly by rail when necessary and it has good nearby road links as well.

“Unit 1 also offered some exciting possibilities. Our initial plan is to use the ground floor as our office and showroom while the first floor will eventually become our Academy. Here we hope to be able to hold classes and training sessions for aspiring barbers, giving them the knowledge they need to launch their own businesses.

“Jason was patient, diligent and spot on with his knowledge of the local market. As our business continues growing we look forward to working with him again,” concludes Mr Reis.

There are opportunities available to join Barbers Wholesale at The Point. Unit 25 (5,093 sq ft) and Unit 30 (832 sq ft) are both on the market to let, while Units 4 & 5 at Lawrence House (2,650 sq ft), on the northern edge of Market Harborough, are also available. Contact Jason for viewings.
