A telecommunications company set up during the pandemic has secured its first premises in Lutterworth.
CellTech Communications Ltd, which assists the UK’s four major telephone operators upgrading, installing and decommissioning masts, has taken a 2,658 sq ft office and industrial unit at Lutterworth’s popular Cosford Business Park.
Director Jack Gadsdon said: “My co-directors and I set up the business in September 2020 so had been working remotely from Birmingham, Leeds and Leicester for the best part of a year. Our work is nationwide, so we knew we needed to find somewhere central, easily accessible and well-connected. Wells McFarlane’s knowledge of available properties across the Midlands was invaluable, and we managed to secure the unit in Lutterworth off-market.
“It now means we have a central location for our business to operate from; we’re using the mezzanine office area as an administrative hub and the warehouse for equipment, materials and storage. In just 12 months, CellTech has grown rapidly and we’re already employing eight members of staff. The new premises means we’re able to actively recruit, and have ten vacancies to fill before Christmas in office administration, project management and technical.”
Our Director, Andrew McFarlane Holt secured the deal. He added: “It’s excellent news that businesses like CellTech are thriving and able to create jobs for the local community. We wish them a successful future at Cosford Business Park.
“The industrial sector has been one of the big beneficiaries of the pandemic and we’ve seen a significant uptake in off-plan units of all sizes. With strong connections via the M1, M6 and M42, this area of the Midlands remains the centre for UK logistics and, unsurprisingly, a solid target for occupiers and investors. Demand is rapidly outstripping supply so we encourage landlords with similar properties to get in touch.”
