Henry Wells, son of our Director, Trevor Wells has completed a three-week work placement in the business.
Currently on a summer break after completing two years of his three-year undergraduate degree in Real Estate at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Henry has been adding to his CV with several summer work placements.
Henry said: “I’m not due back at Cirencester until September and wanted to make the most of the summer by joining local firms for work experience. I’m fortunate to have secured placements with a housebuilder, commercial agency, and am pleased to have spent the last three weeks working with all the Directors at Wells McFarlane, where I’ve been given an insight into option and promotion agreements, land agency, managing a commercial property portfolio, landlord and tenant matters, and rural estate management.
“It’s been so useful to see first-hand some of the roles I’m learning about at University and also what it’s like in a professional workplace. I’ve really enjoyed being involved in some of the processes of taking farm land through to a new development site including understanding the many challenges and issues that can arise. I now understand a lot more about what my Dad and his colleagues do on a daily basis, and I’m impressed at the wide range of services and depth of knowledge they offer to clients.”
