The Sketch Pad art studio has found a new home in Lutterworth, after our Commercial Asset Manager, Chrissy Feenan completed a deal for 22 Bank Street in the market town.
Owned by artist, Jo Maisey, The Sketch Pad is an independent fine art studio producing paintings and illustrations for sale, commissions or national competitions, and the move to Bank Street marks a new dedicated workspace.
“Since the pandemic forced the closure of my original studio I’ve been working from home, but this was only ever a temporary measure,” explains Jo. “An uptake in my online sales and private commissions meant the time was right to find a new studio. I wanted to relocate to a town location for the connectivity and community, and Lutterworth offered just that; a small yet vibrant centre with plenty of thriving businesses.
“For drawing and painting, good natural light and high ceilings were top of my search criteria but I also needed a dedicated space to work on a new illustrated book project. The characterful premises at 22 Bank Street proved ideal, including plenty of generous space, daylight and period features for added inspiration.
“I was familiar with the Wells McFarlane team having leased my previous property through them, so I was confident of a helpful and efficient service the second time around, and Chrissy didn’t disappoint. I’m now looking forward to creating some great artwork from this new studio,” concluded Jo.
