QUICK SALE FOR 117-ACRE FARM IN RUTLAND

09 October 2026

The sale of a 117-acre farm near the Rutland village of Langham has been completed by our land team.

Westmoor Farm, off Cold Overton Road, has been sold to a private buyer for an undisclosed sum. The deal was completed by our Managing Director, Andrew McFarlane Holt within just two months of bringing the farm to market.

Andrew comments: “Rutland is England’s smallest and, arguably one of the prettiest, counties so Westmoor Farm presented a rare opportunity to become part of this community. Offering good agricultural land quality, as well as the potential redevelopment of the existing farm buildings, it was unsurprising that this holding attracted significant interest and we were pleased to negotiate a quick sale. This transaction highlights the continued appeal of well-positioned agricultural holdings, particularly where there is scope to add value through redevelopment.”

Westmoor Farm comprises 117 acres of pasture land divided into 12 enclosures with several small areas of coppice/woodland, spring fed ponds, and a stream running along the western boundary. A detached, four-bedroom farmhouse and a range of farm buildings, including portal framed barns and workshop, were also part of the sale.
