A substantial industrial warehouse unit on the Swift Valley Industrial Estate in Rugby has recently been let in a deal concluded by our Director, Andrew McFarlane Holt.
The 57,896 sq ft premises, part of the portfolio of private investment office, Bond Estates, has been taken by Envirobuild Materials Ltd on a six year lease.
“There was widespread interest in this unit, largely because there is scarce supply at this end of the market, and the Swift Valley Estate benefits from an established location with excellent transport connections,” explains Andrew. “This is one of the biggest single industrial transactions we’ve concluded recently, completing in just under three months, which indicates that despite challenging conditions, there is still plenty of activity in the sector as businesses look to upsize.”
Envirobuild is a leading supplier of low carbon, sustainable building and outdoor furniture products and will use the new premises as a distribution hub. The firm’s MD, James Brueton said: “We run a bulk goods distribution operation that covers the UK. The Bond Estates warehouse was the perfect location, being centred in the golden triangle, and entirely fit for purpose which has made designing an efficient stock layout much easier. We hope this aids our growth and look forward to working out of the region for many years to come.”
Bond Estates owns several properties within the Swift Valley Estate, which is considered a key logistics location in the Midlands network. Managing director, Richard Perry concludes: “The letting to Envirobuild is the latest of many successful transactions Wells McFarlane has secured on our behalf within the Rugby and Leicestershire markets. Their local knowledge has proven invaluable in attracting quality tenants to prime industrial locations and we are grateful for their support. We’re confident Envirobuild will thrive within their new space and warmly welcome them to the fold.”
