An IT Consultant and tech entrepreneur who started his business during the pandemic has already relocated to larger offices in Market Harborough.
David Dillon is the Founder of URocked, a complete digital tipping platform. After being based at the Harborough Innovation Centre since inception in 2020, URocked has recently relocated to a 1,512 sq ft office on The Point Business Park. Our Director, Jason Hercock negotiated the deal, which has not only increased URocked’s office space by 250% but was also completed in double quick time.
“URocked is a solution arising from the impact of the pandemic on the service industry,” explains David. “I quickly realised that as the country shifted to cashless digital payment, any employees relying heavily on tips would suffer a significant reduction in their earnings. URocked allows customers to easily tip their server, hairdresser, delivery driver or any other service personnel using their phone. Tips are paid directly to the employee without interference from the employer, which aligns with the change in government regulation requiring more transparency over tip management.
“Our move to The Point will facilitate our growth plans which include expanding into different industries and developing alternative ways to integrate our software into service venues.
“We are delighted to remain within Market Harborough, benefitting from the great connectivity and local facilities the town offers. We sincerely appreciate all the support from Jason and the Wells McFarlane team for the seamless and speedy transaction,” concluded David.
